APC Chieftain who battered wife arrested by Sagamu police

The APC chieftain, Bashorun Bayo Awosanya, who battered his wife at their residence in Sagamu on Easter Sunday April 20th after an argument was arrested yesterday April 28th by the Ogun State police command.

Just got this mail from an NGO that deals with domestic violence cases. According to their story, the woman above is the wife of an Ogun-state politician named Bashorun Bayo Awosanya. He allegedly attacked her at their residence in Sagamu on Easter Sunday April 20th around 8.30pm after an argument. The lady was saved by their gateman who heard her cries for help from his station.

She's currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Sagamu. Her people figured it won't hurt for people to see what the man did, so they sent the pics to the press. This madness has got to stop! "The suspect personally reported himself to the Sagamu Divisional Police Officer, CSP Lawal Adebowale, around 0800hrs due to arrest warrants issued and pressure mounted on him to show up before he would be publicly declared wanted by the police" the PPRO of the Ogun State Command in a statement.

He was later transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation for further questioning. Ogun State police say they plan to charge him to court.
